30-year-old Sudra Amin was born in Lahore and has played 51 Women's One Day International matches since 2011 and has scored 1281 runs in them. Not only this, Sudra has also played 32 Women T20 international matches. While in the women's one-day international match between Pakistan and Ireland this month, she scored 176 runs off 151 balls during an innings and remained at the fourth place.

Sidra Amin is the first Pakistani to score the highest score in Women's One Day Internationals so far in 2022.

How easy is women's cricket in Pakistan and do girls want to play cricket here?

In response to this question, Sidra said, 'Nothing is easy, if you are getting opportunities and you don't take advantage of them, then everything is difficult for you. I think cricket has become very easy now because the way PCB is promoting women cricket, campuses are being set up everywhere in Lahore, coaching is happening, it has made cricket very easy for women. '

What is the difference between the Pakistani women's cricket team and the women's teams of other countries?

'There is a big difference. We have less pool of girls. But girls are now coming here from far away areas. Talking about foreign women's teams, they have very good setups. I think PCB is working on this now and creating very good institutions like the National High Performance Center which now has space for women as well. We also go there and work with our coaches on batting, fielding and focusing on our fitness as well.'

Male cricketers play leagues along with cricket. Commentary also do analysis, what are the options for women cricketers?

In response to this question, Sidra said, "There is no doubt that boys have a lot of advantage, but now our girls are coming in umpiring, coaching, besides like male cricketers going to different countries. The leagues are playing. Similarly, PCB has announced leagues for women too and our league will start in February or March next year.

He said that many things are gradually improving. We will also see girls in commentary like former players Sana Mir, Arooj Mumtaz, Marina Iqbal, these people are also doing commentary at a good level, they are presenting analysis on cricket in T programs, which is a welcome thing. I think new players will also be watching them and getting inspired by them.

How did you feel when you scored the first century of the World Cup?

On this question, Sudra said, 'I think when you are on the ground, you don't realize what you have accomplished. Now that it's the age of social media, when you come back from a match and check your phone, you realize that you've been praised by people who never knew or appreciated you.

At that moment it feels like you have done a great job. Similarly, I was also very happy because it was an honor for me from Pakistan that I scored the first century as a Pakistani in the World Cup.'

Are the girls around you inspired by you and started playing?

'Of course, especially in the neighborhoods we come from, I always like to share so that people are inspired to see us and come forward. Everyone has reached above that level, so the parents of my neighborhood come and meet me, and some girls have even started playing cricket regularly.'

Sudra Amin is currently a part of the women's T20 international squad to face Ireland in Pakistan, but she has not been played in any match yet, which is said to be because Sudra has been kept in the reserves to test the new players. could
